If your iPad's split keyboard isn’t working properly, follow these steps to fix it:
- Check Keyboard Settings:
- Go to Settings > General > Keyboard.
- Ensure Split Keyboard is turned on.
- Reposition the Keyboard:
- Tap and hold the keyboard icon (bottom-right corner of the keyboard).
- Select Dock and Merge to reassemble the keyboard if it’s split.
- Restart Your iPad:
- Press and hold the Power button until you see the slider.
- Slide to power off, then turn your iPad back on.
- Reset Keyboard Dictionary:
- Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset.
- Choose Reset Keyboard Dictionary to clear any glitches.
- Update iOS:
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
- Install any available updates to fix bugs.
- Check for Hardware Issues:
- If the problem persists, ensure there are no physical obstructions or damage to the screen.
- Restore iPad:
- As a last resort, back up your data and restore your iPad to factory settings via Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings.
These steps should help resolve issues with a split keyboard on your iPad.
